Boot-up Password dor Dell Inspiron 1000- PLEASE HELP

I wonder if someone has encountered this. I am trying the boot password for this laptop. The one to power on the computer, not the windows. The password has been lost, is there a way that I can reset this? Help

Once they verify ownership of that system they can pass along the information to a team that can give you a reset code. You will have to fully verify ownership of the system including name, company, and all contact information prior to their being able to help you.
