bootmagic inaccessible

    I'm having some trouble with bootmagic and I'm going to have to reinstall the software.
    I've used symantec's site to get instructions on how to uninstall bootmagic.
    When I uninstall bootmagic is it going mess up my mbr? Will I be able to boot properly?
    Assuming that the computer won't boot up like it's supposed too...
    Will running fixmbr in the windows xp recovery console take care of my new boot trouble for me?
