This MSNBC story details a recent flaw discovered in most recent versions of Windows (NT4, 2k, XP, 2003 Server) that could lead to a broad Internet attack given the enormous number of vulnerable computers out there.

Your Microsoft Operating System may potentially be under attack by HACKER ACTIVITY. The vulnerability attack can fool software into accepting insecure commands that could let intruders steal data, delete files or eavesdrop on e-mails.

TS reader and forum member, acidosmosis, had already posted some information on this matter earlier on the boards, apparently he was subject to various of such attacks.

Microsoft has been offering a patch to resolve this issue since last July 16th, we recommend to have your system patched ASAP.

My server and other machines are now patched.

The power went down in work over the weekend, when its back on on Tuesday I will patch servers at work.

If it's on Windows Update I got it...can't keep track of all these bugs anymore.
