  1. Broken memory

Hi I have a question about memory. At the moment I have AMD Sempron 1667 oc @ 1910, Asrock K7VT4A Pro, and one memory stick 256 MB DDR PC-4300 and I also have one additional memory of 512 MB PC-2700 but that one is broken in other words on that memory works only 256 MB. It was all good with my old computer (Duron 1200 with matsonic board) but when I insert this memory with new one, computer wont load bios and monitor is turned off. My question is can I fix that memory in any way or sould I just throw it in trash?

In theory, in certain circumstances, yes, one could fix it. In practice, no :)
