Hi I am trying to help someone with their computer on a windows xp home machine, when i first saw the problem i figured it was spyware, but i ran 4 different ones and found nothing. Same deal with viruses, nothing. I am trying to use both IE and FF but it is the same with both, one web page takes about 4 to 5 minutes to load. However when you boot into safe mode both of them work perfectly. Let me list what I have already tried:

uninstall/reinstall of IE
antispyware/antivirus software
OS repair using Windows install disc
uninstall/reinstall drivers for the network card
replacing network card

If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

The only bad thing I see in your log is the MyWay search assistant, as it is spyware. Go into Add/Remove programs in your Control Panel and remove anything having to do with MyWay, MyWaySA, or MyWebSearch.

This could be the cause of the browser's sluggishness.

Run HJT with no other programmes open(except notepad). Click the scan button. Have HJT fix the following, by placing a tick in the little box next to(if there).

Maybe we need to take a more thorough look for malware.

Go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT, AVG Antispyware and Combofix logs as attachments into this thread, only after doing the above.

Also, let me know the results of the AVG Antirootkit scan.

Therefore, I don`t think your problem is malware related.

Perhaps, backing up the important data and reformatting will help.

I`m afraid, I don`t have any other suggestions.
