hi,

recently, my pc started freezing upon scandisk. then the BSOD will appear saying IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. but that happens not most of the time. i just thought that reformatting my pc would get it back in shape. so i formatted it. i booted from a winxp sp2 cd to start the installation from there but upon loading files and when it already says "Setup is Loading Windows" the BSOD appears which points out that the file acpi.sys is the cause of the BSOD. now i turn of my computer from the [power switch and turn it on again for about 10 seconds. then the BSOD won't appear but after setup has loaded windows installation, my keyboard becomes unresponsive... why is that? and any ideas on how to fix acpi.sys?

thanks in advanced!

check your ram with memtest 86+ booted from a floppy.
run for at least 7 passes. Any errors are bad.
