BSOD at startup

"a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down..."

that is part of the writing on the blue screen, further along it says,

"(0*0000000D,0*00000000,0*00000000,0*00000000)"

What does this mean? why does this happen? how do i fix it?

hi, my pc is only working in safe mode now as it is saying "a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer... technical information: *** stop (0x0000000D,0x00000000,0x00000000,0x00000000)" i am unsure of what this means or why it has happened, my friend told me this is the bsod (blue screen of death) and that the only way around it would be too reboot my computer, is he correct or is there another way? what should i do to solve the problem?

it seems like this forum is rubbish and no one offers their support and help on it, well i have solved the problem now and if any one has the same problem, i just used system restore.
