BSOD/Reboot During Video Playback

Hi, all. I get keeping the BSOD and reboot on a PC that I only use to play videos for my kids. I typically get the 0x0000007f stop code with 0x0000000d, 0x00000000, and 0x00000000 parameters.

I've run chkdsk and redone the page file. I've also checked two different RAM sticks (the MB only takes one, but using each one individually shows no errors). I've updated the MB drivers for video and audio (the MB has both built-in). The computer routinely crashes when playing video, even in places where the video previously played without problem.

I'm attaching the last few minidumps. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What Operating System are you running? Windows XP? What program are you using to view videos? How much memory are you running normally? 256MB? 512MB?

Minidumps are pointing to a general system instability with one pointing to Vinyl97.sys. This is from a VIA sound driver. Try reinstalling or upgrading this on-board sound driver
