I noticed places like voodoo pc have custom laptops that they built. Since I am starting a business, I decided that I should read up on laptops and their technology. One thing remained unanswered, where would be a place, preferably online, that I could order notebook parts to build notebooks with?

While it is possible to build laptops, generally it is very difficult and far too cost ineffective to do so. Parts for laptops are hard to come by separately except for common items like drives and ram. You would probably need to buy cases and LCDs from the manufactuer or from salvage equipment.

No you don't want to do that.. It's better just order what you need and have them build it for you. OEM parts MOBO, an etc.. is cheaper for them to do it than you.

Thanks, I'm more familiar with desktops anyway.
