Buring Boot CD File/Image

I bought a bootable CD to start my windows XP machine, but I burn the .ISO file to a CD, but when I start the computer, nothing happens. The guy I bought it from said I need to burn just the image, but not the file, but I'm not sure how to do that and I have not heard back from him.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Jesse,
look up on Google "slipstreamed CD" and see if you can find instructions on just what you need to make a true bootable CD. It's not hard...
