Is there any noticable difference in the speed because I wanna play next-gen games like tomb raider legend & quake 4 and I want my laptop to be next-gen ready.

First of all i dont recommend high end gaming on a laptop..its too expensive. when you buy a laptop you are kid of shooting yourself in the foot. the processors wont make up a lot of difference. it mostly depends on the video card which is either integrated or seperate. gaming laptops go up to 3000USD nad the desktop equivalent would be 2000usd
