Buying a sound card, PLZ HELP

I have never used more than integrated audio in my life. When I went over to my friend's house and heard what a Sound Blaster Audigy sounded like, well I was blown away. I am looking for a new sound card but I have no desire to spend more than $50. I was thinking about a sound blaster live. Plz give comments or sugestions

No suggestions needed. :wave:
Separate sound cards take a big load off the CPU
and give better sound quality.
I have non-oem SB live 5.1 that you should find for the $$'s
you want to spend....

My expir. has been very good with sound blaster live. :grinthumb
It has the bang for the buck.
tho as always, bigger bucks=bigger bang! :hotbounce

Sweet thanks, I think i'll get the sound blaster live 24-bit then. I am no way about to spend $100 on a ZS or something like that... sound isn't that important
