Okay I have a question.
Here is the memory that I currently have:
512 MB Corsair XMS PRO model #: CMX512-3200C2PRO
I want to add another stick but I need to make sure it has the same timing and everything.
1). The model # is the same on this one
2). But there is this one too
Here is the main question:
In my BIOS the memory timing is AUTO and it is currently:
CAS latency 3
Min RAS active time 8T
RAS to CAS delay 3T
Row prechange time 3T
Row to Row delay 2T
According to Corsair's website my module should have timing of 2-3-3-6.
Should I change the timing in my BIOS to this? If I do that I think I need to buy the first module that I listed. If I don't change the timing, will the second module work?
I don't know much at all about changing memory timings, so I appreciate any help.
