c:\$MFT corrupt?

ok well for the past 2 days i have been constantly getting this message "the file or directory c:\$MFT is corrupt and unreadable. please run the chkdsk utility" i have been looking on the web for a sloutiong but i have yet to find one. do u guys have any ideal of what i shoulod do?

Have you actually run the checkdisk utility? If so what were the results?

Maybe doing a repair install of Windows will help. I`m assuming that you`re running either Windows XP or 2000.

Instructions for doing this can be found HERE

If you do a repair install, just remember that you will have to do all the Windows updates again.
