Caching problems when burning SVCDs

I use DVD2SVCD to backup some of my dvds (can't afford a dvd burner) and the problem is that if the .cue file has chapters in it Nero fails when caching files. I have made sure the drive nero uses as a cache drive has enough free space. Is there a such thing as hardware incompatibility with burning chapters? (my drive is an old 4x4x24) If there was I would think that it would give me an error as burning and not before it even spins up the drive.
I know CDRWin is probably more recommended for burning .cue/.bin but I'd prefer not to use it.
I also could probably burn without chapters but I dont' want to do that unless absolutely necessary.

Here is an example of the current .cue I'm working with. I also have tried adding the real path to the bin and got the same error.

Bump - not enough views for me to think that nobody knows. Someone out there knows what to do.
