'Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare' retail sales are wayyy down

CoD doesn't do well on PC because PC gamers have more variety in the way of shooters and realize how utterly crap the franchise has become, do remember CoD started on PC... Also you've clearly never heard of Overwatch if you think that only MOBAs do well on PC, or Counter Strike, Battlefield..., hell, shooters are just better played on PC with a mouse in general.

Do you even have a Steam account? There's lots of free games or very low priced games, not all are great but some are, Path of Exile for example, Warfram, Hawken, Hearthstone, the list is pretty long actually. You clearly don't know what you are talking about.
clearly that is your opinion. I just wouldn't waste my time playing those games

These war games are like wrapped processed yellow cheese

Yeah, Bayby, is' chrismess! Got me one o' those HickryFarms Platters,me.. smear sumothat cold-pack processed cheese food wrapped in salty dried-crushed soybean food on those special EEdition Activision melonin-chips for me hunn!
MMMMMmmmm..

hell, shooters are just better played on PC with a mouse in general.

Such and underrated comment, and something that most console players will never know. Now, with the support of controllers on PC, they never will know the luxury of using a mouse and keyboard in a FPS game. Though, it is nice that a few specific games support controllers on PC now. Like. The Witcher 3 and the new MGS. Both of which I have very little play time in.... because to be honest, I dont really like controllers that much! (But I've read that The Witcher is really hard to play with a keyboard.)

Are you sure you tried hard enough to get a working part of the game to work? Do you know how to use the controller properly?

When there is no official solution on their forum what do you think?
And what does the controller has to do with this ? I played it on PC. Why would I play a FPS with a controller ?

Normal multiplayer worked fine and since I was not the only one who could not play Zombies mode at all it was clearly not my fault.
I tried checking firewall, NAT settings, antivirus and each time the same result.

The game itself is fine. Its CoD fatigue. At a certain point you realize that if you just wait to buy the game and get a discount, there will still be people playing online when you get there. Why pay $60 for a game when you can wait 9 months and its going for $20? You can literally play any CoD from the past and people are still playing online. Why not wait until the price drops below $20? The people will still be there waiting for you when you eventually pick it up. The market is bifurcating into people that want it now and people that can wait for a discount.

Good luck trying to play Extinction mode from Call of Duty Ghosts now !
Also, at least on PC the Infinite Warfare multiplayer is almost dead , Black Ops 3 has more players than it as we speak.

What kind of crap games do you play? Anything multiplayer-online? Probably not and that's why they're only 5 bucks a game. Have fun playing with yourself.

Holy sheet b3nny. As if you can't play a game and enjoy it by yourself. Plus, YOU make the point in another post that if you just wait to get the game at a discount, there will still be plenty people online when you get there. Word for word from YOUR POST. MAYBE THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT HE'S DONE. Holy sheet man... there's so much more I want to say to you... but that is just a completely rude and pointless post man, do you think about what you are typing? Or are you just trying to get a reaction out of someone like this? Troll?

Edit: I'd also like to note that there are plenty of free to play online multiplayer games available on Steam. You would know this if you know half as much as you claim to in your posts...

Ok besides MOBA's, what multiplayers games do well on PC? Um, none. I was talking about using that strategy on consoles. The are more people playing Black ops 2 on ps3 than every CoD on pc combined. Do not ever step to this.
This is because cod is s**t and PC gamers know this.
There are only two CODs, COD2 and COD4... maybe James Pond: Robocod but that's besides the point.

The multiplayer games I play, BF4, CSS, Terraria, Minecraft, UT2K4, Assetto Corsa, Portal2 - All paid for under $65 total cost so a library of $100... You get my point.
You can hit a steam sale up and walk away with 60+ top games, albeit not this weeks AAA titles like infinite warefare (lol, AAA?), for less than $100 but doom recently hit $25 and that's fairly new, couple that with some AAA games over a year old and you get a nice little collection for sub $100.
Not to mention Origins free game a month, usually **** but it's free! No subscription.
Ubisoft also give free games away - Again, totally free.
Humble bundle, $1 for 3 games, usually pretty decent.
GOG... the list go's on.

Side note, we don't pay for a subscription to play against 12 years olds that, and I quote "banged your mum last night". We have a community that no console players will ever experience. We are all friends. We are all foes. We hate each other. We love each other. We are "GLORIOUS PC MASTER RACE" (who also dabble in consoles for the good exclusives, because they are not ****, they're actually pretty good contrary to what you might think about PC players)

Just noticed this in the article...

A second source confirmed the results with CNBC, noting that year-over-year sales for the month of November were down 51 percent.)

CoD: Infinite Warfare just came out in November 2016...so how can you have "year-over-year" sales in a game that has only been out for a month?

And yes, I know they might be talking about the CoD franchise as a whole...except that you *expect* the sales of an older game to drop over time. Any gaming company executive that expects year-over-year sales on a particular game to increase has *no* idea of how the industry works. Nor is the success, or lack thereof, with a predecessor game in a franchise a guarantee that the successors will be successful -- not just financially, but in terms of playability -- as is born witness by the abomination known as Batman: Arkham Knight.

This is a console game, most of the sales are still physical and are expected to stay that way. ........

One thing to note is that you are talking about the US market. Around the globe most people get games thru digital form/download because it's cheaper than physical media, or most often because it's a way to have faster access to the game, instead of waiting for the physical media to arrive in a retailer. Physical media is taxed by the country taxes and it's also more expensive because of the retail store... Digital downloads may even have some taxes applied to it, but still way cheaper.

I pay for Xbox live for stability. I laugh at pc gamers when they talk about multiplayer online games. They all know there's not enough people on most games. Pc is the master race in single player games. Can't even move laterally with a Damn keyboard and mouse. Lol. You think moving a mouse to a point on the screen takes more skill than using a controller? Lol good talk.

I dunno, I've never been online and found empty servers. It's always full depending on time of day **shrugs**
I'll leave this little known online PC game called Dota 2 or something.... Dunno. Can't be that many people playing a free game on free online services on a PC that costs less than a console... Yeah, you don't need to spend £300 on a PC to play decent games.

Some cold hard facts there. I'd admit I'd rather game on a PS than Xbox. PC > PS4 > XboxOne

I'd like to point out, after coming here to read your reply that this benny guy said this in his last post.

"Can't even move laterally with a Damn keyboard and mouse. Lol. You think moving a mouse to a point on the screen takes more skill than using a controller? Lol good talk."

....cant even move loterally with a damn keyboard and mouse, yet in the next sentance he says "You think moving a mouse to a point on the screen takes more skill than using a controller?"

lol giggles

Apparently it requires skill for some, others it comes naturally. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This argument is tired. If controller were better for FPS it wouldn't require aim assist now would it? Here's facts, Controllers move the crosshair at a fixed speed. You can up the sensitivity to increase that fixed speed but you lose the ability to make small movements. This is just facts. Mice don't have this issue as you move your hand at the speed you want to go and thus they have an additional dimension of control that controllers do not have. This is aside from the extras that usually come with mice like on the fly DPI switching, weight tuning, and lower response times.

FYI people on PC are not restricted on just mouse and keyboard. I've seen plenty of people go Mouse and Joystick.

This is exactly what I try telling people who dont play on PC, and say a controller is better. After I TRY to explain this to them, they kind of have a blank reaction... either they dont understand it, or they are silently denying it, maybe... just maybe they understand and they are thinking about how to start gaming on PC, but dont want to ask as risk of showing that they dont really know what they were talking about in the first place.

Very few people I tell this to, rarely, ever say, "Really? I didnt know that! So, THAT'S one of the reasons why you PC gamers like to play on PC! I get it!" (.....I've yet to hear someone use that exact wording. lol)

Thanks for saying it, and adding the additional information that just makes gaming on PC more desirable. I'd also add that you can never, or very, VERY RARELY change the graphics settings in games on consoles. I'm not sure I've ever seen one that you could really change much in on a console. You can edit the config files on PC as well.

I think benny lost any point he had and isnt coming back because he realizes he is just wasting everyone's time with his trolling. lol That last post he made just tore himself up. This is literally the only thread he's posted in since making his account, pretty sure he is trolling anyways.

Whenever I'm looking at a highly subjective topic like choice of peripheral, it helps to look at just the facts of each. People will often get caught up in subjective arguments that won't get anywhere because they are based on a matter of preference.

Speaking of which I forgot to address one of his points

"I pay for Xbox live for stability."

Now it's funny that he mentions this because Xbox live and it's Playstation Online counterpart have been down multiple times and have had drops in service. On the other hand the same cannot be said for PC. Sure, Diablo III might be DDoS attacked one day but that only affects one game. One cannot effectively shut down online PC gaming simply because it's online component isn't a single easy target, it's many many distributed targets. In addition you find that many console games rely on P2P for connection. P2P may at times be better than a server (although that is rare) but it most certainly will never be called more stable and much more often than naught having random people at random parts of the world with who knows what internet connection host games not only introduces instability but more avenues for cheating. It's pretty well known in the console community that anyone can use a lag switch in any P2P game to get a significant advantage.

It really doesn't matter to me what I play on, if it's a good game that peaks my interest, I'll play it.
I've been going back to the sega saturn/DC to play some shoot'em ups rather than emulating them, it's a feel of nostalgia. Some are rolling into steam which is nice, Ikaruga. I only had the DC version for so long.
I play on my ps4 often, bloodborne is a belting game. Such a shame it's a ps4 exclusive, it'd do well up there.

To put the mouse/keyboard to rest, I have a xim4 which I plug into my ps4. I then plug my mouse and keyboard into that.
I got banned after 2 days of playing cod because nobody could be THAT good. I was something stupid like 60/1 KD with 3000 kills over a weekend. I was reported on pretty much every server I went on for hacking even though I'm not entirely certain it's possible on ps4?.
Yes, I've played mw1/2 for many years on PC and at LAN events so I'm probably well above average but I don't play it enough to make a living out of it, aparrently I'm too old (FYI: Anything over 21 is old in pro gaming, shock to me too) :D

I am glad you think getting your whole arm for stability vs just a thumb is somehow more admirable. And you are dreaming if you think there is not cheaters on PC. I have a PC, that is why I gave up multiplayer on PC. That is why Origin had to come up with the punk buster that doesn't even work properly because I get kicked even when I have legit games. The matchmaking is a joke on PC. You PC kids are way too smug with your game lobbies having 5% of the players of any of the consoles.

False analogy. You cannot compare free crap with Filet mignon. If Call of Duty was free, how many players would it have? Um how would you know? its not free.

Lateral movement is what you do with the buttons, not the aiming with the mouse, smart guy

Ok, let's say I did do what you said and found Battlefield 4 to have better online on the XB1 than PC. That still doesn't affect any of my points. You are trying to take a single example and apply it to the entirety. If that's the only argument you have, you don't have much.

Name one game on both consoles and pc where the matchmaking process has more players to match and the process of finding a match is quicker and smoother on PC.
