I need to get rid of this virus i just got and have no idea on how to do it. I read another forum and tried to follow the instructions. I put my computer into safe mode and then tried to go on to the internet so that i could read the rest of the instructions, but i couldn't, so i restarted my computer again normally and set it to go to the settings i had two days ago. When i got logged back on there were no popups like before, and the folder that i couldn't delete of the virus wasn't in my program files. When i logged on to the internet, the popup stating that i had a virus wan't there and the wierd toolbar wasn't either. So now for my real question. Ho do I know if the virus is gone? If it isn't how can i get rid of it?
By the way i tried running xoft something and found out that i would have to pay so......I really need some help.

Very Important: Before deciding whether you should clean or reformat your system, go and read this thread HERE and decide what it is you want to do.

If after reading the above, you wish to clean your system, do the following.

Go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT, AVG Antispyware and Combofix logs as Attachments into this thread, only after doing the above.

Also, let me know the results of the Panda Antirootkit scan.
