Hello need some help on reasons why a Intel Pentium 4, 3.06 GHz (SL6S5) Processor 478 will not work with my A-open i865Gm-I

There are numerous reasons? Perhaps the board is defective, perhaps the CPU is defective, not enough power, wrong RAM, etc etc etc. Please be more specific and tell us what've you done so far. Any error messages? Can it boot? etc etc
