Can I make a boot disk from my computer

  1. I have an acer aspire 5920 laptop with windows vista.
I created back up disks when i first bought it but my son got a hold of all my disk's one day and scratched them and i am afraid if i use them it will shut down half way through the formatting and ruin everything.
Is their anyway of making the new disk's without doing a back up and having all the data i dont want the data i want to wipe it clean.
    Thanks for the help.

Probably best to forget it. Take an image using Acronis/Ghost etc and ignore the fact it will have some data also. At least you will always be able to restore your PC in case of trouble.

Polish the disks, then test them by copying them with Nero 7.0 or higher... if they will copy, they will install.

Thanks for the help. The disk's wont copy like i thought I'll have to go with gbhall and sacrifice cd's rather than computer to back everything up.
