Hi Trojansrthenemy and welcome to the TS Forum

If you have a virus, then reloading it will not clear the virus, you need to either post your issue in the security section with details of your virus, where someone will advise you on the best cleaning method, or backup all your data and reformat the drive and do a clean install.

    Regards

problem is the virus was almost uncleanable w/o going to the recovery console and deleting because it was a winlogon.exe dll. i had sp1 on a cd but i couldnt go to recovery console because i had sp2 on my computer. anyway i did a reformat, thats what i meant by reload sry, and it cleaned it up. btw the virus was trojan lop.as, there are several other threads about it on here that were very helpful and also depressing :). Thanks anyway for your help
