Can I use my Dell Charger to charge my HP Laptop?

  1. Well, my HP laptop charger is not working so I tried to charge with a Dell charger I had and it worked.

Now reading in the internet, I read that it might be dangerous especially since I am using less amps than specified. The specs of the 2 chargers are as follows:

    HP Charger: 19 V, 4.74 A
    Dell Charger: 19.5 V, 4.62 A

I read that the voltage difference should not cause a problem but using a lower Amp capacity charger than the original might. Will this small difference matter or can I still use the charger?

    Thanks

In a word... Yes. As long as the Dell chargers connector fits snugly and it doesn't get too hot, it should be fine

Yes you can, but you have to aware, because if the voltage is not the same as the other, it will broke the device.
