I want to purchase a 256mb ATI Radeon X800 Pro can my computer handle it?

    Currently I have:
    Dell Dimension 8400
    w/ 350Watt PSU
    3.4 Ghz Pentium 4 Prescott
    1 GB DDR2 PC3200 (4 DIMMS)
128 mb nVidia GeForce 6600GT PCIe (obviously swapping this out)
    (1) 80 GB SATA-150 7200rpm HD
    Soundblaster 24-bit Live SC
    Two CD-RWs

Is the ATI Radeon X800 Pro a pci express or agp. If its pci express like your old one it should work fine but why do you want a different card the 6600GT is a good card if you ask me.

your power supply, at 350 watts, is barely scraping by on the stuff you have in there already. your current card is fine and the change in performance would not be worth spending the extra money.
