Can not find new installed Hard drive

Hello everyone,
I installed a new 1TB Hard drive(Samsung Spinpoint F1 SATA2 7200RPM 32MB cache), but it doesn't seem to appear in 'My computer', where has this new drive gone?, could anyone help me out?

You probably forgot to partition the drive so you can actually use it. What OS are you running?

That's right I forgot to format.
I face another problem: This new Hard disk, 1TB Samsung Spinpoint F1 SATA2 7200RPM 32MB cache, is the 3rd HDD inside my computer, Do I need to set this as slave or to cable select? or Windows will arrange for me?

SATA drives don't have the Master, Slave, CS settings. They reside on their own channels independently. You select the boot drive in the bios

Yes, problem solved. I forgot that new Hard drives need to be formated.
