Can anyone tell me whether I should try running XP on a Pentium II 350 with 256 MB of memory?

Currently I am running Windows 98 on this machine.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes it can. I've got one at my feet running SETI calcs now. it's about 10x slower than any other comp in the house but it runs fine. I'd turn off every bit of XP eye candy if I were you. then you basically have Win2k running when you're done. :stickout:

What do you mean by XP eye candy?

Turn off all the pretty graphics for the buttons, fading, sliding etc.

I have a bare bones version of XP running on a P150 Pro with 128 meg of RAM without any real problems . . . . basically only used for a test system.

But it runs just fine without all the pretty bits.
