  1. I have an old windows 98 operating system cd that originally came packaged with my old Gateway 2000 computer. There is no cd key so does that mean if I wanted to, I could use this same cd to put windows 98 on another computer(a newly built one for example)? I still have my Gateway 2000 by the way. Was this cd built to work ONLY for that Gateway 2000 or can it be used for other computers?

You will probably find that the cd only supports gateway hardware. However, as u have a net connection u should be able to get all the drivers u need provided the cd will allow the instalation to run.
