Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Boot into safe mode. See how HERE

Turn off system restore.(XP/ME only) See how HERE

In Windows Explorer, turn on "Show all files and folders, including hidden and system". See how HERE

Go to add remove programmes in your control panel, and uninstall anything to do with( if there).

C:\Program Files\MyWaySA
C:\Program Files\AdwareAlert

Close control panel.

Open your task manager, by pressing the ctrl/alt/delete keys together.

Click on the processes tab, and end process for(if there).

AdwareAlert.Exe

Close task manager.

Run HJT with no other programmes open, and have HJT fix the following by placing a tick in the little box next to(if there).

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {4D25F926-B9FE-4682-BF72-8AB8210D6D75} - C:\Program Files\MyWaySA\SrchAsDe\deSrcAs.dll

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {4D25F921-B9FE-4682-BF72-8AB8210D6D75} - C:\Program Files\MyWaySA\SrchAsDe\deSrcAs.dll

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AdwareAlert] C:\Program Files\AdwareAlert\AdwareAlert.Exe -boot

O4 - Startup: Digital Line Detect.lnk = ?
O4 - Global Startup: Digital Line Detect.lnk = ?

O16 - DPF: {17492023-C23A-453E-A040-C7C580BBF700} (Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool) - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=39204
O16 - DPF: {6E5A37BF-FD42-463A-877C-4EB7002E68AE} (Housecall ActiveX 6.5) - http://eu-housecall.trendmicro-europe.com/housecall/applet/html/native/x86/win32/activex/hcImpl.cab

Now click the fix checked button.

Close HJT.

Locate, and delete the following bold files(if there).

C:\Program Files\MyWaySA\SrchAsDe\deSrcAs.dll
C:\Program Files\AdwareAlert\AdwareAlert.Exe

Reboot into normal mode, and turn system restore back on.

try different sites for spybot updates. Many of the update sites are in europe and if you're in the USA, the sites are incredibly slow to download from. just experiment until you find a mirror that's close and fast.

Hi

all thank you all very much for your help

I have been pulling my hair out all night, I am a bit new to networking
IP addressing and all that but I think that I have solved the problem!

It doesent look like a virus at all nor even IE and Firefox did,nt work

But I tried this ping program and then Tracert then Karen,s Whois
and it seems they have problems sorry it seen that it is timing out
at my service provider (Gibtel) even though they are denying they
have any problems I have now just got in touch with a couple more
people here on the rock and they now say they are having a few probs
now, funny that is,nt it

once again that you all for your quick responce and help

I am going to add this site to my favs

one of the best help sites so far

thank you

Paul
