cannot connect to internet using network connection

  1. I have to use my desktop icon(net zero) to connect to internet. I get an error that remote computer is not responding other wise. what info do u need? thanx

    let's start with 'what do you expect should be happening'?
    I think you're using a dial-up (pls correct me) and if so, that's the way all dial-ups work;
    click on an icon
    modem dials out
    you log in
    and as long as you stay connected,
    email and your browser are functional.
