Full disclaimer, I use a aiptek drawing tablet. I am running vista :(
I have two processes of wisptis.exe in task manager. One has a description the other does not (blank) the one with a description refuses to end and the one without claims that it cannot end the process (access is denied). This even occurs in safe mode.
wisptis does not appear in services.
what am I missing?
It's just really annoying, I am relatively certain that it is the culprit behind my mouse going haywire intermittently.

The original file from Microsoft gets placed in C:WINDOWSSystem32wisptis.exe . If you find it anywhere else, there is a high risk for a virus, spyware, trojan or worm infection.

unless of course he's got a 64 bit system then he'll have one in SYSTEM32 and one in SYSWOW64.

Can you stop the srervice? The service name is: TabletInputService and can be disabled in sevirces.msc and then stopped.

If you can't see it most likley you don't have rights and will have to change permission.
