Cannot find icons/mapping to CD ROM drive in My Computer Folder( OS - Win 2000 Pro)

hi all,
i am unable to access my CD ROM drive as i cannot find its icon or any mapping in the My Comp folder
however in the device manager, my cd rom exists and i can also update its driver
how can i place a icon for the cd drive in my computer?

What happens if you "RUN" D:\ or whatever letter your CD Rom drive is? Does the drive show up in computer management? Maybe it is trying to use a drive letter that's already in use - and if so then just switch it to an unused one.
