Cannot open Task Manager

    Hi guys,
    I have been trying to open task manager but doing the CTRL+ALT+DEL does not work. Nothing happens.
    I tried right clicking the bottom bar in XP and then select Task Manager but nothing. I even went to c:/windows/taskman.exe nothing happens.

    Also everytime I start windows, it tries to connect to the internet and opens Limewire. So what I did was to rename the limewire.exe file...

    Any ideas anyone? I used trend micro to delete and scan files... but now I am stuck. is it a registry thing?

    Hello and welcome to Techspot.

    First go HERE and follow the instructions exactly.

    Once you have done that, go HERE and follow the instructions on how to post your Hijackthis log as an attatchment.
