Hey everyone. My younger sister is having some trouble with her computer and I was wondering if any of you could help us figure out what the problem is?
She says that she was trying to reinstall Windows Vista via the installation CD but her computer overheated and shut down before installation was complete. When she tried to start up her computer after that, the screen said that the installation was not a success and the computer shut down automatically before it arrived at the login screen.
Now [she says she's not sure how this happened], whenever she tries to start up her computer she gets a blue screen with this error message:
"Stop: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The initial session process or system process terminated unexpectedly with 2 status of 0x000000000 (0xc00000001 0x0010034c)"
So, basically, now she cannot use her computer. We tried safe mode, but we still get the same blue screen error message. She also tries starting up with the Vista installation CD in the CD drive, but that does not do anything either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
