I have a gateway system from a customer that wont start due to an obvious motherboard failure. I have taken the hard drive out to do data transfer of her files that need to be backed up. I am doing this through an external usb hdd bay. Upon trying to access the files, it reads 'I:\Documents and settings\Owner is not accessible. Access is denied.'
Now, I have run into this before and know it is due to the password put on the account. But I cannot access the password because this is as I said, being read from an external usb hard drive bay. How can I access the files?
