can't access web.

Hello all,
Once I start my computer and start working in any application, and lets say half an hour later try to open Mozilla or IE. It gives me a message:
resolving msn.com...does something for about two minutes and gives an error message.
Both the browsers work absolutely fine, if I keep loding different websites.
But if I do not use them for about 15-20 minutes.....I have to restart my machine.

Would you happen to have Windows XP installed?

I'm having a simliar problem, only it happens once every few days.

Upon restart, it works fine again. Also, all other internet access works (IMs, P2P programs, email etc...), but Neither Mozilla, Firefox or Internet Explorer work.

However, I can use command prompt to ping websites with no problem.

How do you connect to the internet? Are you on a broadband connection or dialup? If it's broadband, do you connect directly to the cable modem, through an ethernet cable to a router, or to a wireless router?
