  1. Hello,

Any help appreciated, I am trying to install a copy of xp with a load of stuff integrated. I have burned the iso to a dvd with alcohol 120 and have set bios to boot from cd.

It wont find the NEC dvd player, even though I have also disconnected the separate cd rom.

Any help appreciated. The Image and disc are fine. Just need to do a clean install but cant.

Hope im just doing something stupid.

    A8N SLI Deluxe mobo.

you set the boot order in the bios
use master jumper for the drive and place at end of cable
could be it did not burn a bootable disc making an image does not make it bootable
made need to try to burn again without adding or changing anything make a cd instead when it loads take it out and use the dvd disc I swapped cd's this way ,but not cd to dvd

best way to intergrate other software in install disc
other than slipstreaming and untended apps made by MS is to put them in a
    special folder
make sure the dvd is finalized
and you did not change anything in main part of xp ???
    make iso image load image
I just finished a dvd of vista had no boot errors ??
if you tried to slipsteam you may have lost a step

I sorted the problem, my dvd was slave and not detected after the master cd rom.
