Can't Boot Up my Computer

By alext303

  1. I am having problems booting up my compuer. The background loads but neither the start bar nor the desktop icons load. Before logining on it says "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click OK to terminate program." I believe this to be a virus or spyware as this has never happened before. Any advice on this issue?

More info on your system specs,OS, and what you have installed recently and someone will be along shortly to assist.

I have Windows XP and things I have recently downloaded include Limewire and XSRemover to try to get rid of this. (This downloading occured before i lost my internet connection on my computer.)
