Can't delete file from desktop.

    i downloaded a setup file for a program to my desktop. its called ''install''
    when i try to send it to recycle bin it comes up with this error message.

    ''cannot delete install: it is being used by another person or program.
    close any programs that might be using the file and try again''

    i dont know what programs could be using this file because i completely forgot what this setup file is for.

    any ideas of how to delete this file?
