Cant install Direct X 9.0c

Hi,
i recently installed hitman blood money but the application sent me an error code d3dx9_27.dll so i check my dxdiag exe and find out that my version of direct x 9.0b has a older version of qasf.dll, i downloaded 9.0c of direct x but still it wont work, i mean the computer said that installation complete but when i check my direct x diagnostic it doesnt overwrite the old version

can sumone help me on this one!!!
