Can't install malwarebytes spyware in 8 step process

I could download the malwarebytes setup file to my computer but double clicking it does nothing. I've ensured that its not blocked by any security program. Any alternative to this step? My system is infected with the redirect virus.

I am by no means any authority on this but after having spent several hours going through the same process that you are, I found a simple renaming of the file to something else and then double clicking it worked for me.

Installed MBAM removed several trojans

I ran MBAM twice. First run found several files which were TDSsyss*.dll and removed all of them. Second run of MBAM came out clean. The redirect problem has now disappeared. Is my pc disinfected now? Sophos antivirus scan also came up clean.
