Hi, I got some thing on my computer that’s driving me crazy, all of the sudden I get messages like this:

Runtime error 24 at 010656CB,

win\system\uxtheme.dll

DLL c:windows\system32\tfidma.dll

0xc0000017 memory error

then everything shuts and all I cant see is the wallpaper with no icons, I cant even crtl+alt+del the only option I have is to turn the computer off. I tried to open msncofig but nothing happens, then I tried to reboot on safe mode and it was impossible, (this has never happened before on my computer) then I downloaded hijackthis and when I tried to open it nothing happen, just as with the msnconfig. I changed the hijackthis name and I finally was able to open it, this is the log file:

Hi tore087 and welcome to techspot. =)

Note: Please do not copy and paste logs in the future. Instead, attach the .log or .txt files in your replies.

Important: Please read this thread HERE before you decide whether to clean or reformat your system.

Should you decide to clean your computer, please do the following.

You are running an outdated version of HijackThis.
You can obtain the latest version from the link in my signature. Remember to rename the executable file.

You may wish to copy and paste these instructions on notepad for easier reference later. (If you cannot follow the instructions in safe mode, try to do as much of them as possible in normal mode.)

Boot into safe mode under your normal user name. See how HERE

Next turn on "Show all files and folders, including hidden and system". See how HERE

Go to start > run and type services.msc. Press the enter key.
Search for the following services. Double click to select stop if they are running. Set the startup type to disabled. Click apply/ok for each service you disable.

nvchost
adamrf
tfidma
" " < an empty entry

Go to start > Control Panel > Add and Remove Programs.
Remove anything related to the following:

Megaupload Toolbar < this installs adware on your system and should be removed.

Open your task manager by pressing holding ctrl, alt and pressing del. Alternatively, use ctrl + shift + esc. Go to the processes tab, and end the following processes, if found:

winlogon.exe
tfidma.exe
severe.exe
.exe

After that, run HijackThis and fix the following entries, if found (do this by placing a tick in the check boxes beside these entries and clicking "Fix checked"):

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\System\panels\blank.htm
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName = Vínculos

O2 - BHO: Megaupload Toolbar - {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-CCB0-B130EEDBE97C} - C:\ARCHIV~1\MEGAUP~1\MEGAUP~1.DLL

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [tfidma] C:\WINDOWS\system32\severe.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [] C:\WINDOWS\system32\.exe

Close HJT.

Navigate in Windows Explorer and delete the following files and folders in bold.

C:\WINDOWS\winlogon.exe < not to be confused with the legitimate file located in C:\WINDOWS\System32\ folder.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\tfidma.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\severe.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\.exe

C:\ARCHIV~1\MEGAUP~1

Reboot into normal mode and rehide your protected OS files.

Next, please continue to Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions and follow the steps given. These are a comprehensive mix of steps to remove common malware, as well as provide us logs of your system to look at so we can further remove any tricky nasties.
Do follow all the instructions exactly.

Thereafter, please post fresh HijackThis, AVG Antispyware and Combofix logs as attachments into this thread. Do not copy and paste your logs if not it will be ignored and/or removed.

Also, please let me know the results of the AVG Antirootkit scan

Regards,
Your friendly momok =)
