cant load windows XP

  1. Ive had this computer for 6 months. 3 weeks ago with no changes, it started crashing and freezing up in WOW (no other programs). I loaded all the newest drivers for MB,sound and video and problem continued. I started getting the BSOD with the following message:"A wiat operation, attach process or yield was attempted from DPC routine....Beginning dump of physical memory....physical memory dumped. "
I decided to reformat the harddrive and reinstall Windows; however, Windows locks up during loading and several times the same BSOD appeared. I eventually have to shut the computer down for 5 minutes and restart.

MY computer is ATI Raeon x1950 ,Soundblaster X-Fi,ASUS MSN-SLI Deluxe MB, 650 Power supply, Corsair DDR800 memory( 2- 1Gb sticks) AMD Dual core FX-62 processor.
    thanks
