Can't pass XP welcome logo

I have acer travelmate 420 series, it won't pass the windows xp logo. It kept on rebooting. I have tried to reboot from all the modes available still nnothing. tried to do recovery from cd it wont allow either. What else can be done to fix the problem.

what happened before you experienced this issue? Are you playing a game, applications or surfing the Internet? Do you have an antivirus? You have stated that you've tried all the modes. Are those modes the one that you can see when you press "F8" ?

You can take the laptop to someone that knows computer repair. Replacing a laptop hard drive and reloading Windows is what you need to have done

Well, if my acer already tried everything from the modes available and yet, nothing happens. I can say that an OS reformat is necessary for this issue. Please do so, what Tmagic650 has said.
