can't play dvd's need dvd decoder

  1. hi,
    Anyone out there please help.
    I ant much of a comp wizard but I can't play dvd's and I have real and windows media players intalled on my comp.It keeps asking for a dvd decoder.Tried to download VLC media player didn't work.
    Neither can I view my videos that i downloaded .

    Windows media player does not play DVD's on its own it only uses that capability from installed third party DVD playing software, like winDVD or Power DVD.

    you could try the freeware version of zoom player.
