The motherboard and power supply in my moms eMachine died. The mobo from eMachines was on back order so I bought an Intel board with the same specs. After the restore the computer wont boot into Windows. It just keeps rebooting. I cant even get into Safe Mode. I know the board is good because Ive installed Win 2000 and Vista Beta on this system. I think it might be a driver conflict. Thanks

Windows as a rule does not work on a different motherboard ("same specs" doesn't say much). You have to do a repair install or a clean install to make it work.

Also, even if you got a compatible motherboard, the RAM, hard drive or any other peripherals may have been damaged by the PSU death too. Test them all.

yeah, windows(with little exception) gets messed up when you install a new motherboard. I'm not sure about the repair install, but a new windows install should probably fix the problem
