CD Burner Removal

Hi,

I'm not a PC enthusiast...Just wondering how to remove an old cd burner (Do I take it out of the machine from the inside or pull it from the outside) from my pc and install a new one. I think I can follow the directions to install the new one...I just can't get the other one out!

Unplug the PC.
Open it.
Disconnect all the cables from the burner.
Unscrew the burner drive. Usually the screws are on the sides of it but you may have some rails that have to be unscrewed from the front. Just use basic mechanical commons sense.
Slide out the drive from the front.
If it has any rails etc on then unscrew those and attach to the new burner.
