I recently reformatted and re-installed my CD burning software and it didnt work. so i tried a different program and that also didnt work. i keep getting messages saying that there is no supported drive detected. anyone know what i need to do to fix this?

Go to www.adaptec.com and look for their program Aspicheck.
They also have the software there to install the so-called Aspi-layer.
Nero and some others have their own file for this, which should be installed automatically.

Can you read CDs from that drive? What is your OS and while you are at it, maybe you could fill out your computer-specs under "user cp" at the top of this page.
