CD drive problems.

Hello everyone

Thank you to everyone for the nice welcome, I have to find my way around here..I want to ask a question I know has come up before that is how I found you. So I will ask and maybe I will get told where to go.
My computer is 9 months old and I have xp home. My CD drive will not work when I go to My computer and click it from there it says put a disc in ....and it is in ......I think something is wrong with the drive letters..just my thought.
So that is it if I have put this in the wrong place I am sorry.. Wally

I have moved you post to it`s own thread.

Try this and see if it helps.

Go to your device manager and right click on your cd drive, choose uninstall and click ok. Reboot your computer and Windows will redetect the drive.
