CD Drive Won't work! Boot Drive is "Missing"! Please help!

I was copying a DVD on my computer but when the DVD completed the CD/DVD drive would not open. I decided to restart my computer and when it was starting up again it stated the "boot drive was missing". When i opened up my PC i could see no physical damage besides the fact that the light that was supposed to turn on when the CD/DVD drive was on was off.

Please help! I want to play WoW again!

Thanks in advance

Usually this error message means your hard drive has gone bad. But it could be a bad DVD drive. DVD drives have a life of about a year if used once a week or less... or copy less than 50-60 discs.
Test by replacing temporarily with another hard drive and dvd drive.
Luckily decent DVD burners can be had for $40 to $50 at Wal-Mart, Best Buy, CompUSA, or an online store such as www.zipzoomfly.com, www.directron.com, www.outpost.com, etc
