CD Driver problems

    ok, just to let all who read this know, i am not a computer savy person, so please give me a break if this is really easy to fix.

    my cd drivers wont play any avi, mpeg, mp3, mpg4 or any other file type that is on a burned disc, it will run software cd's like the windows os installer and dell software cd's, but not cds that i have burned.

    does anyone know how i can solve this problem?
