Cd-r Reading Help!!!

Hello. I was wondering if the Mitsumi IDE FX810T 8X CD-Rom Drive supports reading CD-Rs. I was also wondering if there are any firmware upgrades for this drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was also wondering if you knew any sources for upgrading these hardware devices as follows:

Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar 28400 8.4 gig HD
Video Card: ATI Rage Pro Turbo AGP 2X 4MB VRAM
Sound Card: Crystal Semiconductor CS4236 Intergrated Sound Card
Monitor: MAG Innovision 770FS

I would also like information on the following motherboard:
Motherboard: Dell Optiplex GX1 450L+

Mitsumi: It's supposed to. Are you having trouble reading CD-Rs burned from an HP burner? If so, that's an HP firmware problem. For Mitsumi firmware updates, the place to look is Mitsumi's website. If there is one, they should have it for downloading.

Hardware upgrades: Do you mean replace them? Try Newegg.com or ZipZoomFly.com. There are other online sellers that others will likely recommend.

Optiplex: Go to the Dell website and at the appropriate place key in your Service Tag number or model number and they should have your info.
