Cd rom detect not detect data cd!

Hi everyone.

I have formatted my hardisk and install window 98 SE but my cd rom doesn't detect data cd.

NOTE: I have a dvd drive which work properly.

Please, could someone help me......

Did you install the motherboard drivers?

Yeah. all the drivers!! I think that he problem is elsewhere!

What Kind of CD? a regular CD-R or a CDRW? if it is a CDRW then the problem would occur if yuo do not have UDF reading software installed.

It's a cd-r 52x. My dvd rw is functioning correctly, trouble only with the cd rom

then the most likely problem is your CD rom has gone bad.
